These are some of the key policies we observe. We may revise these policies in the future. Please revisit this page regularly.

Editorial Policy
Core values that determine our work include accuracy, fairness, integrity, independence, and respect.
As these are very comprehensive issues, we'd like to refer to the German Press Code (where applicable to electronic media) and to the spirit of the BBC's Editorial Guidelines (where applicable to independent producers).
Having stated this, we see ourselves as filmmakers first and journalists second. Let's say, we decide to closely observe one party in a conflict, and another party in the conflict is not interested in being part of our story, or we simply don't find the other party interesting enough. In this case, we'll still tell the story, even if the resulting film is not a perfectly balanced report. We believe that 'objectivity' is hardly possible in documentaries. Although our film crews try to be as unobtrusive as possible, the presence of a camera alone will often influence the situation that's being 'documented'.

Environmental Policy
We're committed to operating in an environmentally sound and sustainable manner.
We aim to conserve energy, to re-use and recycle, and to reduce e-waste. We prefer suppliers that do the same. Promotional materials should mostly be electronic, not on paper. We make copies of our films on demand rather than stockpiling DVDs or tapes that might just go to waste. And we use green web hosting with Dreamhost.
A big concern is the enormous amount of travel that the making of documentaries involves. We try to minimise our crew size and work with locals where possible. Instead of travelling to every industry workshop, we use and promote online forums for documentary professionals. And we're researching the best ways to make our travel 'carbon neutral'.
